General Information
Our services are not aimed at persons residing in the EU, but only at persons who already reside in Switzerland. There are also no plans to extend our services to the EU. In short, visitor information that we receive from persons residing in the EU does not interest us, is of no value, and is erased on a regular basis. Swiss data protection legislation is applicable. According to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution, everyone has the right of protection of their private sphere, as well as protection against misuse of their personal data. Sprachwelten respects these terms. Personal data will be treated confidentially and will neither be passed on nor sold to third parties.
Sprachwelten maintains its own dedicated server, significantly improving security with regards to data protection. In cooperation with our hosting provider, we make every effort to protect data from unauthorised access, losses, misuse or falsification. When accessing our website, the following data is saved: IP address, date, time, browser request and general information relating to the operating system and browser. An example of a log entry:

This user data forms the basis of statistical, anonymous analysis so that trends can be identified, helping Sprachwelten to improve its services accordingly. According to the Federal Act on the Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications, there exists a legal obligation to retain connection data for a period of six months.
On voluntarily contacting us via the Contact Form, your email address will be recorded in a separate database, which cannot be linked to the anonymous log files.
SSL Encryption
For security reasons and for the protection of transferred content, such as requests that you send us, Sprachwelten makes use of SSL Encryption. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the "https://..." in the address bar, as well as a key symbol in the browser line. The signature algorithm sha256RSA with 2048 bits is used. When an SSL Encryption is activated, data that you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties. In order to assess possible risks, find out more information about this encryption technology.

Third-party services
In general, we do not integrate files or services from other servers (e.g. Javascript data, Webfonts, Plug-ins from social networks like Facebook and Twitter etc.) into our pages, which guarantees you the greatest anonymity. We compile Javascript data and Stylesheets ourselves using source code. Web fonts that are used are saved on our own server. One exception is the use of Google Maps on the page https://sprachwelten.ch/lageplan. This page uses an API by the mapping service Google Maps. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. On using this function, your IP address can be transferred to and saved on a Google server in the USA. Google Maps is used in order to offer a suitable illustration of our location, and therefore, make it easier to find the location described on the website. In the footer, we have provided links to some social networks where further information about Sprachwelten can be found. As soon as you click on one of these links, you will be taken to the page on the corresponding network where the data protection policies of that network are applicable.
Processing of Personal Data
Data that you provide us, for example, via the contact form, will be collected. Other data is automatically recorded on your visit to the website by our IT system. This primarily concerns technical data (see above). With regards to your queries, we deliver quotations, contracts and invoices etc. via email. This data will be saved on a database.
Right of Access, Deletion, Blocking
You have the right to freely access information about the origins, recipients and purpose of your saved personal data at any time. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. In this regard, and for other questions relating to data protection, you can get in touch with us at any time via the address given under contact information. Moreover, you have the right to appeal with the relevant regulatory authorities.
